Review: Enmaru - Altitude The Plaza

Enmaru - Altitude The Plaza

Enmaru is located on the 46th floor of The Plaza office building, offering a beautiful view of the city while enjoying the food. The restaurant has a really nice interior:

I think the tables by the window is perfect for a dinner date *wink*:

Now, moving on to the food:

Tofu Agejyako Salad - idr 78K

Mixed veggies, cold tofu, seaweed, deep fried baby sardine with sesame dressing. This salad is really yummy! Love the dressing so much, one of the best salads I have ever eaten (well, I don't eat salads often though -_-").

Salmon Sashimi - idr 80K

Their sashimi is nice, I think most sashimis taste the same actually, the only difference for me is the size and presentation. Enmaru's sashimi is nicely presented, quite thick slices too!

California Roll - 85K

This is ordered by my sister, she said it was really good, but larger than usual so she can't fit all in one bite LOL.

Sakura Kaoru Tai Kamameshi - 178K

Steamed Japanese rice with mixed sea bream and baby prawn served in a special Japanese hot pot. This dish is meant for 2 people to share (but I ordered this for myself :p). When the hotpot came to the table, the waitress told me to wait for 3 minutes before opening the pot (they provided an hourglass). When I opened the pot, the air was instantly filled with a nice sakura scent. The rice tasted nice and had the chewiness of Japanese rice, but they gave a really small piece of sea bream! oh well..

Sashimi Hako Zen - idr 158K

My father ordered this sashimi set that contains: 3 kinds of sashimi, 6 kinds of appetiser, chawanmushi, pickles, and miso soup. He said the sashimis are really nice & fresh, but he didn't like the chawanmushi that much.

Ishiyaki Wagyu Udon - 178K

My sister ordered this. She said it was amazing and the only udon that she likes ?! Their udon noodles are different than others, thinner and less chewy I think. They are generous with the beef here, unlike my sea bream rice :( . But what I think makes this dish special is their broth, my dad even asked my sister to give him some.

Overall, I think this place is definitely worth a visit if you love Japanese food! More expensive than some other Japanese restaurants in town but well, it is a fine-dining restaurant that has excellent interior and food! I will surely come back again :)
